Agave is a group of plants (Genus) consisting of about 200 species. The plants are native to the semi-arid areas of the Americas and the Caribbean. Most Agave plants take many years to flower and die after flowering once. Agave has a long history in Mesoamerica, but none is more popular than that of Tequila.<br>
