  1. The Best 5 Tips for New Moms

  2. Lifeaid Medical Centre, bring you 5 expert tips that would help you to glade through the challenges of being a new mom. Check out here.

  3. Breast Feeding (a)Hunger: Babies need to be feed frequently. Keep an eye on the gestures of your baby because they serve as a signal to the pangs of hunger. You baby might suck his thumb or lick his lips to show that he is hungry. Crying out loud is the result of excess hunger. It is very difficult to feed if your baby is crying or fidgeting. (b) Posture: If your posture is incorrect while breast feeding, it might lead to nipple sores and even back or shoulder pain. Ease yourself with these steps: • Consult a professional while in the hospital to teach you about latching. • Lean against a pillow and stretch your leg forward to be comfortable while breast feeding. • Pull the baby close to your body rather than taking the nipple to him. • Wiggle the nipple over his upper lips to make him open his mouth wide; do not shove the nipples in his mouth. Lastly, do not shy away from breast feeding! It is healthy for your baby and helps you to develop bond with your baby. Breast feeding also reduces the chances of breast or ovarian cancer.

  4. Pack a Bag Whenever you are going out with your baby, for a doctor’s appointment or anywhere else, there are dozens of things you need to carry. So always keep a packed baby bag at hand lest you forget anything important. Your baby bag must include: a pack of baby wipes, some extra diapers, an extra pair of clothes, a light blanket to keep your little one warm, a hand sanitizer, also filtered water for you as well as your baby. We also advise you to carry a shawl or scarf for yourself to ease the breast-feeding process in public.

  5. Involve the Father Fathers also play a key role in bringing up a child. So, let the father to carry out small tasks for the baby. Teach him to change a diaper or feeding water from a bottle. Let him play with the baby. All these will help to increase his bond with his child and give you some time to relax too.

  6. Calm the Baby It wrenches your heart when your baby cries out loud and sometimes can be a source of frustration too, when you do not know how to calm it. To calm your little one try the following: • Keep your mind calm. To soothe your baby, you need to soothe yourself first. • Give something to your baby to suck on. This can be done either by a finger or pacifier. • Distract him with a new toy or making funny faces. • Sing to your baby or try talking to him. • Keep your baby warm by tucking him in a soft blanket with his hands down. • Lightly massage his back or move your fingers over his cheeks and head.

  7. Keep Yourself Happy You are the main source of nourishment for your baby. So, it is very important for you to keep yourself happy. Always try to stay positive. Read a good book, listen to your favorite music and talk to people who care for you. You can even go for a short walk with your baby. And most importantly, spend a lot of time with your little one and take loads of photos. This is the moment that you would love to cherish throughout your life.
