IVF is a process with multiple steps that begins with hormone injections, which stimulate the ovaries to release more than one egg. The eggs are collected from the ovaries. Then, the lab processes them using a partner's or donor's sperm for fertilization. After selecting a healthy embryo, the couple implants it in the uterus of the woman.
