  3. bastion(n.) (ˈbæs·tɪ·ən) • Examples: • The castle was a bastion against invading forces. • Free speech is often a bastion of democracy. • Definition:A strong defense or safe place.

  4. concord(n.) (ˈkɒn·kɔːd) • Examples: • After years of arguments, the nations reached a concord. • The team worked in complete concord. • Definition:Agreement or peace.

  5. consummate(adj)(v) (kənˈsʌm·ət) • Examples: • She is a consummate musician. • They hoped to consummate the deal. • Definition:(adj.) Perfect or very skilled.(v.) To finish completely.
