  1. How comfortable is your Comforter? Do you glide yourself in the comfort of your comforter? Are you possessive of your comforter? Is your comforter an extension of you? Does it give warm hugs all through the night? Does it make you sin every morning by keeping you in bed a bit longer? A crime is being committed if your answer is even slightly far from ‘Yes’ to all the questions asked above. Nothing in the universe of bedding has been named as precisely as a Comforter. The way the food industry has a bliss point where sweetness and saltiness come together in the right proportion only to give you a heavenly feeling. A comforter is a bliss point of the bedding industry. Research shows that when you cover yourself with a comfortable cover it reduces the stress hormone cortisol and increases sleep chemicals melatonin and serotonin. As humans, we spend one-third of our life sleeping. If that is the amount of time we are going to spend sleeping we might as well do it in the best way possible, which is under a comforter. A normal blanket also does the job, but again, who travels economy when you can travel business class at a fairly similar price. Buying a comforter is a step towards a peaceful healthy sleep routine which also reduces stress and anxiety. However, buying the right one can be confusing especially if you are a newbie. There are Polyester comforters, Down comforters, Wool comforter, Cotton comforters, and Silk comforters. Below is brief information about the types of comforter which will help you find ‘the one’. Polyester: Polyester comforters are filled with polyester fibre and are pocket-friendly. If you are prone to allergies polyester comforter is the best option in the market for you as they are non- allergenic. As children are the winners of spilling contests, easy to clean, machine washable polyesters comforters are an ideal choice. Down: The ‘down’ in Down Comforters comes from birds. Down is a layer of fine feathers under the exterior layer of feathers. The comforter is filled with those fine feathers which keep you warm at the lowest temperature. If you are animal/bird-friendly then this is not an option for you as birds are abused in the whole process. The Down comforters are the most expensive of all the comforters. However, they are the best types of comforters in use. Wool: Wool has this unique quality to keep your body warm in winter and cool in summer with an affordable price. This is the reason why wool comforters set online are a popular choice and are affordable as well. Cotton: A cotton comforter is a winner in all aspects. It is everything that you would want your comforter to be. It takes care of your pocket, can be washed in washing machines and provides the highest level of comfort.

  2. Silk: Silk Comforters are soft, breathable, keep you warm and glide on your skin. For some, the smooth and gliding texture is not what they would prefer to get tucked in, for others, it is their perfect hug. However, similar to the Down comforter, Silk comforters are made of Silkworms. If you are against harming living species for your comfort then this is not an ideal choice for you. Hope the above helps you to answer the first question effectively. How comfortable is your comforter!?
