DESCRIPTION
One of the most important aspects of an electronic medical record is that authorised clinicians may produce and manage health information in a digital format that can be shared with other doctors across several health care organisations. These are designed to exchange data with other health-care providers and organisations, such as laboratories, specialists, medical imaging centres, pharmacies, emergency rooms, and school and workplace clinics, so they contain data from all physicians engaged in a patient's care.<br>A patient's ehr is more than just a digital replica of their paper chart.
