  5. Student Selection Criteria • Identified as gang member or family gang involvement • Substance Abuse • Students with disabilities • English Language Learners • Eligible for free and reduced lunch • Exhibit emotional disturbances • Homeless

  15. Highlights • Project director • Mental health coordinator • Data manager • Six (6) social workers • Two (2) vans for mobile social worker services • Provide LI Crisis Center services 3 p.m.-8 a.m. • After-School Program

  16. Highlights • Critical care for academics, Advanced Regents Prep & Level 2 students on the bubble • Violence Prevention programs • Staff development in: - Early intervention - Crisis intervention - Violent and suicidal behaviors - Referrals and follow-up protocol

  17. Highlights • Screening for gross motor difficulties • Youth development to resist gangs and drugs • Adopt a student • Parent Programs to build capacity to support education of their children • Adult-Child Mentoring • Translation of materials in 3 languages
