In particular the department conducts research on alternative sources of energy and better energy utilization techniques with the aim of providing a cost effective and environmentally friendly solution for Malta

  16. Department of Communications and Computer Engineering Knowledge Transfer Activities: The Department participates in two degree programs in engineering. These are the B. Eng. degree in the Faculty of Engineering and the B.Sc. IT degree at present run under the Board of Studies for IT. Information Engineering teaching Topics • Computer hardware theory and design • Software for Engineering Systems • Real Time Systems with DSP and FPGA implementation • Signal processing and its applications • Communication systems theory • Computer Networks including wireless and RF applications
