  2. San Diego A Place To Be! Taking your kids to a game can be the ultimate fun day out. San Diego is the home of both the Padres and the Chargers. So whether you want to take in a baseball game or a football game, San Diego is the place to be. There are a few tips that can make your experience at the stadiums even better.

  3. Traveling To The Stadium One of the biggest headaches when traveling to a stadium is parking. The crowds make it hard to maneuver and find parking spots. When you do finally find a parking lot most of the time it is very costly to park. And the closer you get to the stadium, the more it is going to cost. You have two options here. First, you can arrive at the Stadium extra early to ensure that you miss the hectic traffic and find a parking spot easy. Or, you could skip parking all together. If you are in the San Diego area, take a trolley to the stadium. Taking the trolley has the added benefit of being another fun activity for your kid. As another added bonus, on weekends in San Diego kids ride the trolley for free with the purchase of an adult ticket. This means that on average it will cost $7 per adult.

  4. Arriving at the Stadium Arriving at the stadium early is not necessarily a bad idea. There will be other families there and they are often found playing in the open fields. You can join them or do activities with your own children on your own. There are often vendors located outside the stadiums that sell food and drinks to those who arrive early.

  5. Inside the Stadium If you are planning on bringing water and snacks for your child, you may want to rethink your plans. Food and drinks are not allowed in the stadium and all bags will be checked before you are allowed to pass through the gates. In addition, no back pack type bags will be allowed into the stadium. Once you are inside the stadium, watch the crowds. Crowds can often be overwhelming for kids, especially young ones. Keep them close to your sides and be sure not to get separated. Make sure your child knows that in the event that you do become separated to find a security guard. It is often noisy with such a loud crowd. If your child has sensitive ears, bring them a pair of headphones. If the crowd around you gets to rowdy, know that you can find a security guard to calm them down or find you alternative seats. And lastly, don't forget the sunscreen!
