Our Concern Some staff and students separate themselves from one another which creates a tense atmosphere.
Our Challenge Our challenge is to unite all staff and students to create a harmonious and relaxing environment for present and future Blue Ridge members.
This is an important challenge because: • It can create a better working environment • Staff and students can gain a better understanding of each other • Staff and students can gain a better relationship with one another • New students will be more comfortable if staff and students get along better • We can accomplish more as a village • Allows for better recruitment and retention of students
Solution #1: Have all Blue Ridge Members participate in Team Building Activities • It is the task of our entire SGA to: • Set a date for all students and staff to meet in the gym and back field for team building activities, which will include: • Crossing the Swamp • Headband Game • Anonymous Concerns • Trust Fall Circle • Numbers Circle
In Conclusion Our concern is that some staff and students separate themselves from one another which creates a tense atmosphere. Our goal as the SGA of Blue Ridge Job Corps Center is to have all staff and students working together as a village.
How will we know we have accomplished our goal? • Seeing students and staff working together as a team. • The retention and recruitment of the students is high. • Nothing but smiles across Center and singing ‘We Are Many’
