  1. Not Just for the Guys In this era of technological advancement, men and women both work for similar positions, status and pay, unlike earlier times when women were deemed fit for households only. However, safety for women is still a global issue to which governments all over the world are addressing. It, therefore, becomes necessary that women learn to protect themselves rather than staying at home out of fear of some miss happening. In fact, in some countries, women, especially at school and undergraduate level, are given self-defense training by the government. Thus, looking at the need of the hour, we have brought concealed carry classes for women who want to learn how to protect themselves in the case of an emergency by acquiring needed skills for using a firearm.

  2. What to look forward to in the Course? Concealed carry classes aim at teaching their students all about firearms, majorly shotgun, handgun, and pistols, right from carrying them to shooting them. The classes are primarily for people, especially women, with no experience of firing any kind of firearm. The course duration ranges from 4 hours and 16 hours with the fee ranging between $100 and $300 per person per course. If joined, this course will help you learn a plethora of things like NRA's rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts and operation, how to shoot from different positions and ranges, etc. Moreover, the courses don't end here; there are also intermediate levels for people who have already completed their basic training. This level aims at providing knowledge about manipulation your firearms as per different hostile scenarios, shooting within different time constraints and from a closer distance. The course will prepare you to safely unholster your firearm and present it to a threat if such a need arises. Not only this, Illinois Concealed Carry Classes provide Video Scenario Stimulator for better field practice.

  3. Pre-requisites of Joining The main advantage of this course is that you don't need to have any prior qualifications for joining, freshers are welcomed. However, you need to own a ‘concealable' firearm along with a holster, eye and ear protection before joining. Some institutes provide these aids on their own whereas others have to bring for themselves. Also, you will have to take your license application to your instructor because they have to sign you off as having successfully completed the application before you can submit your application.

  4. Illinois has recently passed a law permitting concealed carry after a long going trial. The Illinois State Police issues concealed carry licenses for people and thus it is required that you check for the latest changes in their policy before joining the Illinois Concealed Carry Classes. Illinois concealed carry license is recognized in 18 other states including states like Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee and also accepts license applications from Hawaii, New Mexico, South Carolina and Virginia. Also, the Illinois. State Police accepts applicants who have completed 16 hours of firearms training which includes both classroom and range instruction, however, this criterion changes in certain cases.

  5. Now remember that before starting with the course you need to have a Firearms Owner Identification Card (FOID). Lastly, it is important to understand that owning a firearm requires maturity and responsibility. A firearm must be carried with precaution and discretion since it is not a child's play. You must have a clear understanding of the situation before you decide to pull the gun out of your pocket and fire it, after all, it is the question of your or your family's safety.
