DESCRIPTION
This workshop is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and strategies necessary for managing successful transitions for students with disabilities. Participants will explore the major components of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, highlighting key differences between these and IDEA. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of self-advocacy for students, the requirements for acceptable documentation, and practical ideas for educators to support diverse needs at every grade level.
