Laparoscopic Small Bowel Surgery

Since the first reports of laparoscopic surgery for<br>inflammatory bowel disease from Peters in 1992, several<br>literatures have subsequently shown the potential advantage<br>of minimal access surgery for small bowel pathologies.<br>The increased use of laparoscopy in the management of<br>gastrointestinal problems continues to expand. Procedures<br>such as jejunostomies, diagnosis of intestinal obstruction or<br>ischemia, resection of the small bowel, and lysis of adhesions<br>can be managed with this technique.<br>
