Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a brain disorder caused by dysfunction in the cortico-striato-thalamo-cortical (CSTC) circuit and neurotransmitter imbalances. Hyperactivity in the orbitofrontal cortex, anterior cingulate, and basal ganglia leads to intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.
