  2. Introduction Both professionally and personally, earning an MBA has many advantages. With an MBA, you can take on more responsibility, advance in your career, and earn more money whether you work in technology, finance, management, marketing, or manufacturing. An MBA will help you develop the leadership and communication abilities that are essential for success in the workplace.

  3. 1. You have access to new job opportunities. The number of jobs available to you increases significantly once you earn your MBA. The Economist reports that in 2016, there will be more job opportunities for MBA graduates. While 92% of employers say they will increase the number of MBA internships they offer, 75% say they will hire MBA graduates in 2016. In light of this, getting an MBA will enable you to apply for positions at a higher level and expand your career options.

  4. 2. You have access to new career options. Changing directions and going down a new career path can occasionally seem like an impossibility, especially if you have been employed in the same field for a long time. You might find that developing new skills is just what you need to get started on your career change. Even if your background is unusual for the positions you are considering, an MBA will give you the knowledge and abilities you need to make yourself a more competitive applicant.

  5. 3. Your ability to earn more money. According to a recent study, the average MBA graduate makes 50% more than they did in their pre-degree position. Even more impressive, the average pay rose by 80% in the five years following the completion of their MBA. These numbers amply demonstrate the financial advantages of earning an MBA, but they ignore the psychological benefits of taking on more responsibility.

  6. 4. You develop as a professional. Your theoretical and practical understanding of how businesses function will be improved, which is one of the major advantages of getting an MBA. A complement of "soft skills," such as communication, teamwork, and leadership, is essential for success in business and in any endeavor, for that matter. You need to be able to walk the talk, as the saying goes. Having these skills could mean the difference between success and failure, regardless of whether you want a promotion or want to launch your own business.

  7. 5. Your job security is higher. The job market is more volatile than it has ever been, leaving many feeling uncertain and afraid of being left behind. A more marketable skill set and increased job security are just two of the many advantages of an MBA, both of which may add to your sense of calm. You will be a valuable member of any team thanks to the skills you acquire in an MBA program. Your business credentials follow you even if you leave your job, increasing the likelihood that you'll get back to work more quickly.

  8. 6. You broaden your view of the world. An MBA broadens your business knowledge and aids in your comprehension of the complexities of conducting business internationally. Today's top programs frequently include an international immersion trip so that graduate students can see firsthand how to run a business in a global setting. Selecting a program that draws in students from abroad will increase diversity in the classroom and make the discussions more interesting. Don't undervalue the value of this additional benefit in the current global economy.

  9. 7. Your network of professional contacts grows. One of the most valuable assets you can have in business is a strong professional network. A strong professional network was one of the benefits of attending business school, according to 89 percent of recent MBA graduates who responded to a Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) survey. This kind of network gives you access to new employment opportunities and could be useful if you decide to launch your own company.
