  1. What Is the Primary Concern for Children with Speech Delays? Every child is unique in their way. Some quickly grasp learning speech and improve their voice, while some take time. The concern of speech would never be a concern as every child would start speaking at ten to fifteen months of age. They gradually improve their skills with age. They would have a clear conversation at three years of age. But the need for concern is necessary as physicians are concerned about the speech delay of children as it might result in any other developmental difficulties during speech. Many children with speech delays often face oral-motor difficulties. It is essential to consider speech therapy as an important aspect of child growth. There are specific reasons for the speech delay when it comes to filtering out the reasons for the speech delay. It could be due to slow development of the ability, hearing loss, CAS, or any developmental issues such as disabilities. Young parents sometimes do not know about hearing loss or communication delays. The adverse effects of the same impact on your child's intellectual and emotional development. Here are some simple tips that help a child with a speech delay:

  2. •The first thing you must teach is the habit of reading with your child next to you or asking your child to continue a story with their imagination that you have already started. •Engage in some parallel discussions in which you can narrate those things that can be heard, seen, or made to help your child learn the activities. •Please encourage your child to sing a song while playing with them. Sing along to the music so your child can see you and try to do the same. •If you find your child making a mistake with their language, repeat the same sentences to help them understand. Remember to speak slowly. •Teach them what you are doing, and tell them to follow your example. Use this method to understand the daily activities and follow them up by talking to them. •Always make eye contact when talking to your child to ensure proper communication. It is better to go to their height or kneel to talk to them. •Getting their words right by giving them choices is also a great way to develop their language. •Furthermore, you can use images, objects, and identification charts to teach the pronunciation of words. Following these tips would help your kid understand and move on while trying to converse with you and others.
