  4. Thetestresultshave shownthatthevisual styleoflearningisthe mostappropriateforthe author. Visual perceptionof informationformsa visuallearningstyle. Itincludesthepresentationof informationinthefollowingshapes andforms: “maps, spiderdiagrams, charts, graphs, flowcharts, labeled diagrams, andallthesymbolic arrows, circles, hierarchies, and otherdevices …” (StellarLeadership Academy, 2015). However, itdoesnotconsider suchvisualrepresentationsof informationasmovies, presentationsinPowerPoint, orvideos. Variousdesigns, patterns, andformatsarethe basicconceptsforthevisual learningstyle.

  5. PREFERREDLEARNING STRATEGIES

  6. Thefollowingstrategiesarepreferredintermsofhavinga visuallearningstyle. Itispreferabletouseavarietyofvisual materialslikegraphs, maps, andmanyotherstohave informationpresentedvisually. Itisalsoimportanttoseethebodylanguageofatutoraswell asobservefacialexpressionsbecauseithelpstounderstand informationbetter. Illustratedbooksalsoshouldbeusedas theyprovidethenecessaryvolumeofadditionalinformation putintoillustrationsassupportivematerials. Finally, theschematizationofsomeconceptsandideasis preferableinclasstomemorizethembetterandtobeableto explainlater. Therearemoreoftheminthelistofstrategiesused, but suchstrategiesastheuseofquietplacestostudyanduseof colorforhighlightingsomethingarenotsuitable.

  7. TEACHINGANDLEARNING

  8. Theawarenessofindividuallearningstyles preferencesandstrategiesinfluenceteachingand learningprocessessubstantially. Ifatutortriesto presentinformationintheformdifferentfromthe mosteffectiveoneforastudentormostofthe students, thelearningprocessbecomesslowand ineffective (Eison, 2010). Itisveryimportanttoapplyappropriatetools, and thecorrectteachingstrategyisonesuchtool. Peoplearedifferent, andthesepeculiaritiesshould beconsideredtohavethebesteffectofteaching andlearning. Itlooksliketheefforttoteachstudentssomething usingspecializedjargon – theywillunderstandthe meaningofthewordsandpossiblyphrases, butit willtaketoomuchtime.
