Moreover, with the establishment in 2007, the University began functioning in August 2008. Hence, the short form of the universityu2019s name is AUD.   3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University is established by the Government of the NCT of Delhi through an Act of the Delhi Legislature. Therefore, formerly Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University was known as Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi and Ambedkar University Delhi. Moreover, with establishment in 2007 the University began functioning in August 2008. Hence, the short form of university's name is AUD. Therefore, the focus of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University is on undergraduate and postgraduate studies and on research in the Commerce, Humanities and the Social Sciences. Earlier, it got funds from the State Government of the NCT of Delhi. But nowadays the university is eligible to receive Central Government Assistance. Therefore, hallmark of the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University has been the development of human resources to meet the requirements of the society.

  6. INFRASTRUCTURE Classrooms University offers very well-designed classrooms to its students. Also, they are quite modern in design with proper furniture like teacher’s podium and all. Therefore, these classrooms have enough ventilation and good amount of natural light is present. Moreover, these classrooms accommodate around 50 students in each class. Therefore, all classrooms at the university use modern equipment's like multimedia projector and LCD monitor for conducting classroom teaching, seminar, discussion, meetings etc. Central Library The university has one of the richest libraries of its kind in the state of West Bengal. Therefore, it has nearly 20,000 volumes of books and subscribes 1,000 research journals and 500 thesis journals in various areas of teacher education and related fields.

  7. INFRASTRUCTURE Computer Laboratory The college has a computer lab with 50 desktops and a LCD projector. Moreover, each computer has been provided with internet facility. However, the lab is being developed into a resource centre for optimal use of own and outsourced resources. Therefore, All faculties of the college have been provided with a computer and internet facility at his/her workplace. Guest House Because many international and domestic guests arrive in University for seminars and workshops and many international and domestic well-known faculties come for guest lectures. Therefore, the University has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members. Canteen Canteen is known as fun hub for the college students. They consider it as their adda to meet their friends, enjoy and de-stress themselves from their busy schedule. Canteen at the University offers multi-cuisine food items which are healthy along with affordable prices for its students.

  8. COURSES OFFERED Bachelors: The University is famous for its bachelor courses. Therefore, its undergraduate course offer a wide array of subjects in Commerce, Humanities and the Social Sciences disciplines like History, Sociology, Psychology and many more. Moreover, it provides courses which are Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.). However, these courses have a duration of three (3) years. Masters: As a matter of fact, Masters courses at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University are also recognisable for their comprehensive level of education. Therefore, university offers masters courses in various disciplines as well. Hence, it provides courses namely, Master of Arts (M.A.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.). However, these courses have a duration of two (2) years.
