  1. Studying MBBS Abroad for Indian Students? Studying MBBS abroad is the dream of most of the students in India. In Indian society, parents, teachers and influential people from childhood recommend engineering or medical to study. When two children live in the same household, there are high chances that one will become an engineer and the other a doctor. This is what most Indian parents dream of. Though technical seats have increased dramatically over the years, this is not the case with MBBS. Let us look at some statistics to understand this better: There are around 50,000 MBBS places across India, while 10 lakh students appear in various state-level and all-India entrance exams every year. This means that every year only 5% of aspiring doctors achieve their goal. There are a total of 335 medical colleges in India, out of which 181 are private and 154 are state institutions. Most of the private institutes charge a basic fee of 15-20 lakhs with an annual fee of 4-5 lakhs. For all middle-class families, MBBS remains a taboo fruit because of the astronomical fee structure of private institutions, even if the student gets a seat through an entrance exam. But all hope is not lost. Budding doctors can now make their dreams come true and study MBBS abroad at very affordable cost. Students and parents often have questions or concerns regarding admission in MBBS abroad for Indian students. But the world has now become a global village. Studying MBBS abroad is easier and more convenient than ever. Is Studying MBBS Abroad Worth It? There is no point in going abroad to study MBBS if you are able to get a place in the Government Medical college.
