Cryopreservation - Origins IVF

The process of preserving an embryo/egg/sperm at sub-zero temperature is called cryopreservation. This is done in order to preserve the surplus egg, sperm, or embryo after an IVF cycle. The u2018spareu2019 embryo, egg, or sperm can be utilized for the couple in the next cycle or can be donated to another couple if stored carefully.
