A Complex Case: Breast and Lung Cancers Diagnosed Simultaneously The 62-year-old patient, Mrs Choudhary, presented with breast pain and a growing lump. Detailed investigations revealed stage 4 hormone-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer affecting both breasts, with limited spread to regional lymph nodes and bone.
Dr Devanshee Shah explained, “In most cases, a lung tumour alongside breast cancer is assumed to be a spread of the same disease.
