  3. Welcome & Introductions • Ron Booth – Principal • Steve Sisler – Athletic Director • Maureen TenEyck

Roles of an Arapahoe Tom • Your First Year • Work hard, learn the rules, practice the routines, and share your excitement. • Your Second Year • Be enthusiastic, a time to perfect your performance. • Your Third Year • Time to give back to your team, set a good example and help younger team members. • Your Fourth Year • Give to the team, prepare the younger members, lead by example, unify team, plan activities.

Try-Outs (Auxiliary Gym) • Evaluation • Dancers evaluated on technical presentation along with teacher evaluations and dancer interview • Tuesday, April 29 – Thursday, May 1 • 4:00PM – 6:00PM • Friday, May 2nd • 4:00PM – 8:00PM • Selection • Dancers will be evaluated starting Wednesday • Final Team announced on May 2nd

  6. Try-out requirements • Technique: poms and dance • Turns: triple, quad, tour, fouette, • Toe touch • Kickline • Flexibility: splits • Choreographed routines • Teachers & Dance Instructor’s Evaluation forms

  7. Bring to Try-Outs… • Athletic Physical Form • White Shirt (Logo’s are acceptable.) • Black Dance Pants or Shorts • Dance Shoes • Poms (if you already own a pair)

  8. Try – Outs Uniform Exchange/Purchase Summer Practice Camp (CSU) Elitches Homecoming Parade League Regionals State April 29-May 2 May 14 – 4PM June 2-20 7a-9a June 23-26 Sept 6 TBA on all events Key Dates

  9. Financial Commitment • Actual costs for incoming Tom. Timing of payments based on upcoming event or competition. • Payments due at each Booster Club meeting.

  10. Typical Week Mandatory • Daily Practices • Competitions • Designated sporting events • School Functions • Special Events • Wear uniform • Team Building functions
