ANTIMICROBIAL PRODUCTS Solar Gard SOLAR GARD ANTIMICROBIAL FILMS Designed to be easily replaced, Solar Gard Antimicrobial Films provide a virtually invisible barrier that protects flat surfaces from permanent damage. They also feature BioCote® proprietary silver ion technology, which is applied during the manufacturing process of these films. Silver’s scientifically proven antimicrobial properties protect these films from the negative effects of microbes by inhibiting their growth on the protected film’s surface. With a long history of success as an antimicrobial, silver is one of the most widely used technologies in the world. ® 4 Mil AM Antimicrobial coating with silver ions DID YOU KNOW? Every day we come into contact with millions of invisible microorganisms, including bacteria, mold and fungi. These microbes can have negative effects on products, including odors, staining and material degradation that can lead to early product failure. Saint-Gobain Solar Gard partners with BioCote® Ltd to produce Antimicrobial Films. The BioCote® technology reduces microbial activity the moment microbes come in contact with the surface, protecting the film from odor- and stain-causing microbes to keep it cleaner and fresher for longer. The technology supplied by BioCote® is registered with the EPA and under review with the BPR*. BioCote® is a registered trademark of BioCote Limited. 4 mil single layer of high-tensile strength PET film with high optical clarity and light transmission Removable pressure- sensitive (PS) adhesive The removable adhesive allows for easy film removal and replacement. Features and benefits: Invisible antimicrobial protection Removable adhesive Easily Installed Invisibly removed Optically clear Scratch Resistant Built-in UV inhibitors Prevents expensive surface replacement Long term antimicrobial protection EN 45545 tested Where can Antimicrobial films be installed? • Glass & other smooth surfaces • Entryways • Monitor & device screens • Countertops • Retail display cases & surfaces • Walls and partitions • Elevators & escalators • Mass transit Note: Hexagon overlay is to show positioning of film. Every Solar Gard film protected with BioCote® is independently tested to ensure its continued effectiveness in reducing levels of microbes and bacteria such as MRSA, E.coli by up to 99.99%. The technology is not a substitute for good hygiene and/or cleaning practice. *The Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR, Regulation (EU) 528/2012) concerns the placing on the market and use of biocidal products, which are used to protect humans, animals, materials or articles against harmful organisms like pests or bacteria, by the action of the active substances contained in the biocidal product.
