  1. Lyme Disease In Children – Take Action Now Dr. Peter Dobie

  2. Lyme disease affects not only the adults, but it’s becoming widespread among children also. Lyme disease is difficult to diagnose and children usually fail to explain the problem they’re feeling inside their body. This is why kids are more affected by Lyme disease and don’t get proper treatment on time. Children who suffer with Lyme disease have to deal with various specific types of issues and concerns. One of the biggest problems parents have to face is that children often fail to explain what’s troubling them. They start behaving violently and become irritated with the surroundings.

  3. Children have to suffer due to various illnesses in which they have to deal with body pain, sleepless nights and lack of concentration in their studies, and sometimes they even lose the intention of playing with their friends. Parents often fail to recognise the fact that their kids are suffering from a disease, this makes children even more confused, angry and loss of faith in their family. Most of the parents lack the knowledge about the growth pattern of the child. When a child starts showing irritating behaviour, the parents think that it’s normal among growing children. However, their kids might be suffering for some sort of illness which the parents fail to identify.

  4. Since the signs or symptoms of Lyme disease are usually non-specific, unclear and changeable, parents may not even know that their kids are unwell. Parents might suspect them of creating issues on their own just to seek attention or to avoid school. Kids who suffer from Lyme disease normally have to face difficulty in the school, since the Lyme disease hampers the ability to learn and causes behavioural issues. Our young ones are more vulnerable to tick-borne illnesses mainly because they‘re physically closer to the ground, and ticks can attack them easily. Kids are generally more exposed to ticks because they often play in the field near trees, leaves, grass and play with the pets at their homes.
