Foundation Management (FMC) • Designed for: • any employee moving into a first management position in which they will be responsible for delivering a service • Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute leading to a Level 3 Introductory Certificate in Management award • You already need: • To be involved in staff recruitment & appraisal • To have some financial responsibility • Content Outline: • Personal development planning, customer service, information analysis and communication, planning and resources, establishing working relationships, performance management, report writing • Duration: • 5 days • More Details: • See Course Bookings link on IDEAL home page Return to Diagram

  4.   6. Ward Leaders’Development Programme Designed for: RNs who are Ward/Department Managers, Specialist Nurses or working at this level. Specifically designed to meet the development needs of this large and essential group within SUHT, it comprises a variety of opportunity which should all be accessed as part of an individual’s broad personal development in a role which expects much in this influential leadership position. Participation should be prioritised and identified in PDP and it is anticipated that an individual will have accessed and made full use of the entire programme within three years of attaining a Band 7 post.   7. Duty Senior Manager Development Programme • Designed for: • All senior managers (site, care group, divisional and executive level who participate in the duty manager rota.
