  2. The cyclocomputer was a simple digital device that displays number of rotations of a bicycle wheel . Cyclocomputerswere developed that could measure speed as well as distance traveled.

  3. To measure cadence (revolutions per minute of the crank arm), a magnet is mounted and a sensor mounted to the frame. This works on the same principle as the speedometer function
