  2. Maruti is now ready to launch its first ever compact SUV MarutiVitaraBrezza. This had made news for some time now and the wait is almost over. It is surely not going to disappoint its auto fans. This diesel variant SUV is expected to come in a total of six variants: LDi, LDI (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+. The bookings for the VitaraBrezza are open for a down-payment of Rs 10,000-21,000.

  3. Exteriors • The front end of the MarutiVitaraBrezzafeatures a new aggressive looks. Designed similar to Suzuki iv-4 concept, Brezza comes with tapered roofline and an A-pillar resembling Swift, a clamshell bonnet, projector headlamps and LED DRLs, fog lamps, vertical-slated grille, small quarter glass windows, integrated LED daytime running lights, honeycomb air dam, projector headlights with a secondary halogen unit and 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels amongst others. It has contrast coloured roof, flared wheel arches and wrap around tail lamps. • A piano black effect unifies all of the window frames which enhances its appearance. The large wheels with stylish rims definitely add to its looks. The overall design has a sharp front end and a bulkier rear end. The design is so balanced with the roof-line rising up towards the mid-window frame and then gently has tapered down towards the bonnet making it a perfect one. At the rear end, a spoiler has been integrated at the top which gives a more distinct image altogether. The emblem of the company is rightly perched at the centre.

Interiors • A nice inside cabin with a decent material for dashboard and upholstery Maruti has added features touchscreen infotainment system that comes with SmartPlay and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, reverse parking camera, push button start, cruise control and sliding front armrest. • Engine • Maruti Suzuki VitaraBrezzais expected to be available only with a 1.3-litre diesel engine which produces an output power of 88.5 bhp 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 200 Nm at 2,000 rpm. The engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. An AMT variant will also be available.
