  2. A trendy A-segment hatchback is all set to take on the likes of Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon and Chevrolet Spark. It comes with class leading cabin space, equipment and fashion. • Yes, we are talking here about the Upcoming Renault KWID Car. Set to be slotted as the French automaker’s entry level model, the Kwid is based on the CMF-A architecture, a platform jointly developed with Nissan under the Renault-Nissan alliance.

The French carmaker has incorporated various SUV characteristics such as high ground clearance, black plastic cladding and flared wheel arches into the Kwid to develop the hatch into a crossover. There is all around body cladding that adds to the masculine as well as premium feel. The side profile showcases wheel arches. The rear side has a high loading lip along with a sturdy tail lamp cluster.

Renault Kwid comes with the same interior design that Renault Duster has. • Powering the Upcoming Renault KWID Car will be an all new 3-cylinder 800 cc petrol engine, mated to 5-speed manual transmission. Renault has not revealed any specifics, however, the 800 cc motor is expected to produce around 57 bhp and 100 Nm peak torque. Renault also stated that the Upcoming Renault KWID Car will offer best in class fuel economy of 26 kmpl. The petrol engine is coupled to 5-speed manual transmission. The acceleration of Renault Kwid is said to be 20 seconds for 0-100 kmph, while top speed be recorded around 120 kmph. A powerful 1.0 litre variant of Renault Kwid is expected to be launched later, sometime in 2016.

  5. The Renault Kwidtop end models will be offered with 7 inch touch screen MediaNav system with colour display and Bluetooth connectivity alongside AUX and USB. With the all digital instrument cluster and sporty three spoke steering wheel, the interiors of the Upcoming Renault KWID Car will also be fairly upmarket. Along with a digital instrument cluster, its cabin will also get chrome accents on the air-vents. The Kwid is also expected to get class leading boot space in the region of 300 litres. • The Renault Kwidcomes with ample cubby holes as storage space, a spacious glove box and door pockets which can hold small bottles. The cabin also features a single 12V socket near the gear lever. The single-piece front seats come with a mix of light and dark grey and orange. • The Upcoming Renault KWID Car would be available in the price bracket of Rs.3.5 to Rs. 4 lacs. This drop in price is attributed to 98 percent localization of the manufacturing for this car. The Renault Kwid launch in India will take place during the festive season (between Septembers -November, 2015).
