  1. The 3 Best Ways to Celebrate Mother’s Day

  2. Time flies fast. We’ll be celebrating this year’s Mother’s Day in a few weeks’ time. But it’s sad to see that instead of getting a much-needed break from their motherly duties on that day, many mums go crazily busy in preparation for it.

  3. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Australians were predicted to spend as much as $2 billion on Mother’s Day in 2017, with up to $200 million on flowers alone.

  4. So, how do we simplify Mother’s Day celebration without cheapening its meaning?

  5. Give mothers their needed break…truly! A lot of mums I know would kill for a day off from all their obligations and responsibilities. So why not give them that, on the day motherhood is celebrated? Give them time to sit back, relax and enjoy while the rest of the family do their work for them even for just that day.

  6. Nothing says “I love you, Mum” more than a clean home and chores that are done without being asked.

  7. Do something that she loves. Mother’s Day gifts need not be expensive. If your wife or mother’s domain is the kitchen, get her stuff that will make kitchen responsibilities like cooking easier to do. If she loves books, get her one and allow her a day off from doing housework so she could read it.

  8. Want to take it up a notch? Surprise her by transforming your kitchen with our cutting edge tools and homeware!

  9. Exhibit your love through words. Have you ever told your mum/wife “I love you”? If you haven’t, now is the time to do so. Get creative with your greetings.

  10. And words should go hand-in-hand with gestures. A simple hug and declaration of love from you can fill a mother’s heart to the brim with joy.

  11. We don’t have to spend a lot when celebrating certain events. For Mother’s Day, just make sure to remember these three Rs: Remember your mothers/wives, Relieve them from their duties and Reassure them.

  12. Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mums out there!
