  2. The winds of the north Indian city of Udaipur blow through its streets like a hot summer day. And it wouldn’t be any good if you couldn’t hop in some water to cool off, right? Udaipur is also known as “ Venice of the East,” as there are plenty of places for boating and sailing through the waters of Udaipur. According to legend, upon King Udai Singh in 1559 and she built the city along four lakes that became the foundation for the city’s popularity Udaipur is a city that has it all — history, adventure, culture and beauty. Even though we barely took time to even slow down while we were in India , we fell in love with this city. It’s easy to see why Lonely Planet ranked Udaipur as the number one place to visit in the whole country. The city of Udaipur’s name means the ‘City on the banks of the River’. It is a clear reference to the shores of Lake Pichola where the town was built. While Udaipur is known for its natural beauty, just like all the other towns in Rajasthan, it does have an impressive historical side as well. Ranakpur Jain Temple Ranakpur Jain Temple is something to see. It’s not a place you find on a lot of India itineraries. We felt that was a proud because it turned out to be one of the most incredible places we visited in all of India.

Kumbhalgarh Kumbhalgarh is a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan and is known for its never-ending walls. The fort was built by the Rajput king, Rana Kumbha, in the 15th century. It was conquered only once, by the Mughals, who occupied it for twenty years in the 16th century. One of the absolutely amazing things about Kumbhalgarh Fort is that its walls are 70 feet wide at some places apart from being 450 feet high and 12,414 feet long! Lake Pichola Lake Pichola, India’s sole authentic and pure blue-colored lake was formed by King Udai Singh in 1362 as a source for irrigation for the farmers. Lake Pichola is not just an ordinary lake. Lake Pichola was created in 1362. Yes, you heard me correctly. It was created. Lake Pichola is man-made it was made nearly 700 years ago. In fact, you'll often hear it called the "lifeline of the city of lakes Udaipur"
