WIRE TOYS. Many African families are too poor to buy their children toys. So children often make their own toys from things that they find lying around – like scrap wire. These cars have been made out of old telephone wire and chicken wire. A lot of effort goes into making one.

  5. These excellent wire toys were made by children in Zambia.

  6. Some children get so good at making them that they sell them at markets in towns and cities.
