  1. Best Placement Tips for RangeXTD WiFi Extenders Let's be real, placement makes or breaks your WiFi extender. You can have the best gear but if it's in the wrong spot, your signal's trash. Here is a guide to help you know where and how to place your RangeXTD for the best speed and coverage.

  2. Start With Basics Don't overthink it. The extender needs to see the main router, not literally, but close enough. If there are too many walls or metal stuff in between, you're done. Halfway between your router and the dead zone usually works best.

  3. Avoid Corners and Hidden Spots People love hiding extenders behind TVs, inside cabinets, or on the floor. It's a big mistake. Signal hates corners, mirrors, and appliances. Keep it out in the open. The air around it should 'breathe'.

  4. Check the Signal Before You Lock It In 01 02 Plug it in, wait for the LEDs, and check the indicator light. If it's blinking red or orange then it means too far. 03 04 Green or blue light means Perfect. Move it until you get that sweet spot. You need to try 2 to 3 tries but worth it.

  5. Keep Distance from Interference Microwave ovens, cordless phones, and baby monitors; all WiFi killers. Try to keep at least 6 to 10 feet away from those. If your signal suddenly drops when the microwave runs then that's your culprit.

  6. Don't Stick It Upstairs (Unless You Have To) WiFi doesn't travel well through floors. If your router's downstairs and you put the extender upstairs, signal loss is huge. Try putting it on the stair landing or a spot that connects both floors evenly.

  7. Test with Your Phone Walk around the house with your phone's WiFi analyzer or speed test app. You'll feel where it gets weak or strong. That's your live feedback. Adjust the extender until the dead spots shrink.

  8. Mind the Router's Range Extenders can't boost a bad signal, they just repeat it. If your router signal is already weak where you place the RangeXTD, you'll only extend a weak signal. Better to improve router placement first, then add the extender.

  9. Restart Once Everything Feels Right Then reconnect your devices and test again, you'll notice smoother handoffs between networks. It helps sync them cleanly. After you find the perfect spot, restart both router and extender.

  10. Quick Recap Halfway between router and dead zone Out in the open, not hidden Avoid microwaves & thick walls Use LED signal as your guide Test with your phone and tweak That's it, just good placement and patience.
