  2. MFC inkjet printer which is the most commonly used machine is capable of scanning and faxing along with printing. The “MFC” in MFC Inkjet printer stands for multi-function. The toner is an essential part of the Brother inkjet device. If the ink store is not filled with ink, then the two of the four functions i.e. printing and scanning would not be possible. The entire task related to ink will be paused by the machine itself. In this case, you need to change the cartridge as this will allow you to print and scan again.

  3. To change the print cartridge, you need to go through an easy procedure which is provided by Brother Printer Technical Support Canada in a very easy language. Step 1- First, obtain a new toner for the Brother MFC Printer. A message will indicate “Ink Empty” on the LCD display screen located at the top or front of the device. The “Ink Empty” error actually states the color which is required to be replaced. Place the cartridge to the side of the machine temporarily. Step 2- Open the compartment which is present inside the printer that holds the toner.

  4. Step 3- Remove the empty ink cartridge by pulling it out from the machine. Step 4- Open the plastic wrapping and peel off the protective tape that covers the contact points. Step 5- Look at the colors of the receptacles which holds the ink cartridges for respective color. Pick up a new toner for a single color and use the guiding arrows to slide it into the machine. Carefully push the cartridge until it stops and repeat this step for all other cartridges.

  5. Step 6- Now, close the locking latches which hold the cartridges and then close the compartment door for the cartridge area. Step 7- Watch the LCD screen as the machine will sense the new cartridge automatically. Read the question and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the process. Finally, check the quality by printing a paper.
