  1. Company overview • About CompanyEstablished in 1975, Sagar Foundry Pvt. Ltd. has emerged as a trusted name in the casting industry, specializing in high-quality Cast Iron (C.I) and Spheroidal Graphite (S.G) Iron Castings. Based in Rajkot, Gujarat, India, we serve a wide range of industries, including automotive, agriculture, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment manufacturing, with precision-engineered casting solutions. • Our historyOver the past four decades, Sagar Foundry has earned a reputation for delivering reliable, durable, and innovative products to clients across India and abroad. With a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and a commitment to continuous improvement, we remain at the forefront of the casting industry, meeting the demands of an ever-evolving market.

  2. What is CI Casting? CI, or cast iron, casting is the process of melting iron, pouring it into molds, and solidifying it into a specific shape. It is one of the most economical manufacturing methods for producing components with complex geometries. CI castings are widely used in automotive, machinery, agriculture, and infrastructure due to their toughness, wear resistance, and ability to withstand high temperatures.

  3. The Process Step by Step • Pattern Making • Patterns are replicas of the final product. • Made from wood, plastic, or metal. • High precision patterns are key to quality. • 2. Moulding • Sand moulds are created around the pattern. • Moulding sand must be shaped accurately. • Gives the cast its shape and surface finish.

  4. Melting & Pouring Moulds are left to cool naturally. Once solidified, the sand mould is broken. Casting is removed from the mould. Pig iron, scrap, and alloys are melted in a furnace. Molten metal is poured carefully into moulds. Temperature is closely controlled. Cooling & Shakeout

  5. Fettling & Cleaning Each casting undergoes dimensional and visual checks. Advanced techniques like X-ray or ultrasonic testing. Sagar Foundry ensures only defect-free castings Removing sand, gates, risers, and surface impurities. Grinding, shot blasting, and finishing are done. Ensures a smooth and clean casting surface. Inspection & Quality Control

  6. Applications of CI Casting Used in automotive, pumps, valves, machinery and heavy engineering. Ideal for wear resistance and strength. Sagar Foundry serves global industrial clients.
