Church Apps: Two Truths and a Lie Let me start announcing some exciting news. ecureGive has added a rand new product to our alread roust 몭eet of digital giving platforms. ecureGive Church Apps are here and read to make a major impact in our church! Working in and for churches for over 6 ears, I’ve een in the church software space long enough to know when something will e a value add and when something is mediocrit woven in 몭ash market. ecureGive Church Apps are de몭nitel the former. I will prove it.
Truth #1: Church Apps create new opportunities. News 몭ash, things are di몭erent in 2021 than the were in 2019. No, like, reall di몭erent. The pandemic in 2020 몭ipped the Church on its head and man are still recovering. With so man changes, we are all clinging to those things that we can consider consistent. I talk with churches all the time who are just tring to etter understand the needs of their people to encourage them to come ack now the COVID numers are declining. Let me pause here to encourage ou. Keep going. Your work is changing eternit and the world needs ou now more than ever. With that, where are we looking for new opportunities? I mean, the Message doesn’t change. The desired outcomes don’t change. o, what areas can ou lean into to provide new opportunities and encourage engagement? ecureGive Church Apps ring forth a whole new arra of opportunities that will drive forward the message of Christ while compelling people to engage with ou. ecureGive Church Apps ring forth a whole new arra of opportunities that will drive forward the message of Christ while compelling people to engage with ou. Think aout it. unda, for most all of us, is where our time and e몭orts are spent communicating with our congregants. What if there was a wa to interact with our people Monda-aturda? ut here’s the kicker- how can ou e몭ectivel engage our memers during the week without a ton of e몭ort? ecureGive Church Apps allow ou to do all of this and more. You can easil and convenientl engage with congregants throughout the week. This isn’t an invitation to laziness. It’s a recognition of convenience. And if we are trul in a new era of Church, we need to e willing to adapt. Let me tell ou a quick stor… I recentl spoke with a church leader who has een tring to navigate connecting with his churchgoers. A large portion of his congregation were conditioned to watch church online via Faceook, throughout COVID. Now, his church is open, ut his connection to his people is fragile. I asked him, “Would it e valuale if ou had the opportunit to engage with our people awa from church, in a meaningful wa?” He mentioned he was doing some of that alread, through
Faceook, ut wasn’t sure if that was actuall working.Faceook, ut wasn’t sure if that was actuall working. “Think aout it this wa, sir. What if ou could launch a new experience that rought the full ministr to our people all week long? Faceook is great, ut does it do everthing ou need it to in one place?” ecureGive Church Apps are the solution. You see, in order to create church experiences and opportunities that are meaningful, it has to e done thinking through the intricacies of The Church. That rings me to truth 2… Truth #2: Communication is the ke. I have long said that we at ecureGive o몭er one of the most high-end and impactful giving softwares in the world, ut that can onl get ou so far. ecureGive Church Apps are no di몭erent. We will put into our hands one of the est multimedia Church Apps mone can u, ut ou are still responsile for evangelizing the product. If ou’re considering getting a ecureGive Church App, I would encourage ou to do our research on the software itself ut to also make sure ou have the team and strateg in place to make it succeed. Most of our strateg will e in how ou communicate our new platform. Here are some things that make up a successful strateg and congregation-wide adoption of ecureGive Church Apps: The Lead Pastor Must ndorse Without the excitement and stamp of approval, pulicl, our Lead Pastor, it will e virtuall impossile to get the same level of engagement otherwise. God designed his church ver speci몭call, this to include the call of congregational shepherds. We follow what our leaders suggest. Lean into that. Risk Over-Communicating You won’t. It is now a societal rule that people need to hear things six times
efore the pa attention to it.ut it’s proal more like a dozen timesefore the pa attention to it.ut it’s proal more like a dozen times efore someone will take action on it. You ma not like reading this, ut it is an inescapale truth. Part of e몭ective church leadership is selling. You’re selling involvement. You’re selling a mission. You’re selling, sometimes ver literall, products. You can onl sell well, e몭ectivel communicating. Rest in and emrace that realit. ut, rememer the end goal- greater engagement with our church that will disciple our congregation into a deeper relationship with Jesus. e Demonstrative Nothing drives me crazier than someone choosing to tell me to do something over showing me how to do something. “Download our app and watch our sermons.” Oka… ut how?? Assume nothing, explain everthing. This doesn’t alwa have to e from the pulpit. Connect with our media team, whether sta몭 or volunteer, and see if the could create visual demonstrations. M point: Tell me, es. how me, thank ou. Lie: verone in our church will use this. Listen, we at ecureGive are con몭dent enough to tell ou the truth aout outcomes, especiall when it comes to introducing tools to our churchgoers. If anone tells ou that having a Church App, everone in our church will engage with ou, THAT I A LI. Will ou get an increase in engagement? 100,000%. Will ou e ale to measure it? 100,000%. UT, this doesn’t mean that everone in our church will engage this wa. Add this to our repertoire of tools. This is a supplement, not a replacement. Understand that our engagement will also grow overtime with this product. If ou follow the aove suggestions and commit to the success of our ecureGive Church App, ou’re going to evolve our church engagement,
