  1. 5 Sports Icons To Make India ProudIn Olympic2016 The 31st edition of the world’s biggest sports event, Olympic Games Rio 2016 has commenced on 5th August and every nation is setting their eyes on GOLD. First time ever, 118 Indian sports person are selected in the race of Olympics gold. You must be wondering who all can bring gold out of these? Well, we are not sure how many GOLDS India will grab but, we are sure that these 5 sports personalities will completely shineout. SainaNehwal Saina Nehwal is one of the first Indian players to secure an Olympic medal in badminton. Scaling new heights of success, she secured world number one in her sports. She has won various titles and medals in international events and this year she is definitely supposed to make India proud with her performance in Rio Olympics 2016.

  2. LeanderPaes Leander Paes is an Indian youth icon who completely changed the face of tennis on Indian soil. He has won a multitude of grand slams and titles in tennis and everyone adores him completely. He has also received Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, Arjuna award, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan for his exemplary performance in tennis. Fingers crossed for his performance in this year’sOlympics.

  3. DeepikaKumari Former world number one and currently ranked world number 5, Deepika Kumari is one of the greatest women archers in Indian history. She has won several medals and titles for the Indian subcontinent. Arjuna award and Padma Shri are the two biggest civilian honours granted to her by the Indian government. Winning gold in Olympics this year will bring more glory toher.

  4. DipaKarmakar Nobody ever imagined that India will qualify for the finals of Gymnastics in Rio Olympics 2016 but, Dipa Karmakar has done the impossible. At a very young age, she has made India proud by winning medals at various gymnastics competitions. This year, hopefully, she will bring the first ever gymnastics gold for the country and everyone will be extremely proud of her.

  5. AbhinavBindra Guess who won the first individual Olympic gold for India? Yes, it was Abhinav Bindra. He made the nation proud by winning an Olympic championship in 10 m Rifle shooting event. Since then neither India nor Abhinav has looked back. Abhinav won several shooting contest for India and has made everyone proud with his efforts. This Olympic game will be another occasion when Abhinav will outshine othershooters.
