  1. Basic Guitar Maintenance Tips to Follow

  2. Introduction For a musician, his guitar is his most prized possession. Guitar is one of those instruments that will often be influenced by the weather and temperature changes. If you have noticed carefully, during monsoon season, the door would get jammed. This is because of wood expansion.

  3. Avoid keeping the guitar on open You should refrain from keeping the guitar open. When you have thedo it yourself guitars, you should keep them in a case or bag. The bag will help to insulate the guitar against climate change. How you store your guitar completely depends on the weather around.

  4. Never let your guitar wet You shouldn't allow your guitar to be wet. Whether you're traveling by bike or foot, you must refrain from getting your guitar wet. It is advisable that you pack the guitar. You can also buy a tele guitar kit and make your guitar from scratch. Because of rain, your acoustic guitar is likely to be more affected than electric guitar.

  5. Detune the guitar when you don't use If you are not using the guitar, you should consider defining it. The do it yourself guitars require detuning. The strings put extra pressure on your guitar. When you detune the guitar, you will relieve the pressure. It will help to prevent the guitar from getting bloated. You should consider detuning the guitar for over 6 months.
