  3. What is SERP? • The SERP stands for Search Engine Result Page. In simple words, it is the page that opens after you search anything on Google. • Google shows thousands of results when you search for any query and the result comes like not only on one page. • Several WebPages from Google are suggested but what we prefer to do is visit till 2-3 pages and then we leave. (Till that either we find the information in most of the cases. Or we just stop the search!) 3

  4. How do we see results for researched items? 4 • Google has an algorithm behind everything that happens. Everything that comes new on the internet is indexed by Google. That is the whole webpage gets scanned and let’s say Google puts that information or keywords in the memory. • After indexing the webpage the ranking is done by Google depending upon how many keywords are used in that page or website. Accordingly Google will rank the webpage. There is where the SEO part takes in charge. • There are tools to know the analysis stats of the rank of particular web page on Google. That on which webpage of Google search will that Webpage will be available for people, when get searched by particular keywords.

How the data is tracked? 5 • So when any keyword or query is searched and if Google has scanned it,  which it does, earlier in any webpage it will show all those pages that has the keyword or query related words. • This is how the ranking for the webpage is done. The more number of keywords or related words will be used, the top most ranking the page will get. • When the webpage is scanned and indexed. Google remembers all the words during indexing and when anyone searches for the words Google algorithm tends to trigger all the WebPages contain that keyword. • The number of times the keywords are used, the more chances that the webpage is ranked at the top in Google search.
