West Pasco Solid Waste Complex - Resource Recovery Facility/WTE Facility County Owned Waste-To-Energy Facility (WTE) Recycling Solid Waste into Energy Rated Daily Capacity 1050 Ton-Per-Day Guaranteed Annual Throughput 326,000 tons Current Annual Waste Delivery at 350,000 + Tons/year Energy Generated sold to Progress Energy annual revenue FY06 - $15 million Includes provision for expansion (350 to 600 TPD unit) WTE Facility operation & maintenance by Contract with Covanta Energy through 2011. Co-located with County-owned & operated West Pasco Class I Landfill for Ash and & By-Pass Solid Waste Disposal.

SW cells receive WTE outage and bypass MSW. Remaining capacity through 2030 + based on existing system.

West Pasco Solid Waste Complex Recycling Programs: - Blue Bags - MSW - Batteries - White Goods & - Electronics Scrap Metal - Cell Phones - Tires - Light Bulbs - Cooking Oil - Household Chemicals - Used Oil/Antifreeze

    25. East Pasco Class I Landfill 120 acres, 80 acres open, 40 acres closed Accepts street sweepings from east side municipalities on a quarterly basis. Closed to other uses. Maintained for catastrophic event. Long-Term Care & Maintenance by County

    26. Ridge Road Landfill 30 acres, 1 cell. Closed 1990. Long-term care and maintenance by County.
