  1. From the Business Leaders' Desk Kriti Makhija Business Leader The Outstanding Speakers' Bureau Dear Friends, Best wishes for a Brilliant 2018! May it exceed your expecta?ons in every way. The year 2017 has been a memorable one for us at The Outstanding Speakers' Bureau. We facilitated a whopping 233 sessions, domes?cally and interna?onally. We thank you for con?nuing to be a part of our journey. As your partner, TOSB is constantly looking forward to where the world is going and what organisa?ons need to do to stay ahead of the curve. And we do this through experien?al learning that isn't just based on past knowledge but also from a futuris?c point of view. And 2018 promises to be more exci?ng, engaging, enriching and with its own set of challenges. As the world order becomes more complex, geo-poli?cal shi?s con?nue to dominate business sen?ment. And within that, there are issues of security—personal and na?onal, physical and cyber—that businesses have to work with. The malware and ransomware a?acks in 2017 hit global businesses hard, and the increasing protec?onism in the Western world is leading to uncertainty as well. To thrive amid such ambiguity and in a dynamic environment, businesses need insights from those who can decipher the changes. It needs people who can envision what the future holds, how you can use the informa?on you have at hand now to help your business to grow sustainably, while crea?ng a future ready organiza?on, and how technology can be harnessed for be?er, sharper decision-making. One thing will not change, though. People will always be at the heart of all organisa?ons. But what we need to be cognizant of is that the demographics of people has changed. A large part of the stakeholder universe is millennial, which comes with its own nuances—their aspira?ons, their dreams, their triggers, what makes them thrive. It's not just that the external environment has changed, but the en?re stakeholder ecosystem is also in flux and needs new, refreshed thinking and evolved and inspiring leadership paradigms to create organisa?ons of the future. Keeping stakeholders engaged, mo?vated and inspired to do more will always be something organisa?ons will have to consistently work towards. For all the excitement as well as fear around digital disrup?on, with technologies like ar?ficial intelligence being increasingly discussed, the importance of people as employees, customers and other stakeholders will not be diminished. We don't get to choose when and where technological progress stops. We cannot slow down. Machines have calcula?ons. We have understanding. Machines have instruc?ons. We have purpose. Machines have objec?vity. We have passion. There's one thing only a human can do. And that is…to dream. So, dream big. We can be your partner to build your dream, evolve your dream and accomplish your dream, and take your business to the next level. As we stand having crossed over the threshold of the new year, I wish you, my dear friends, a year full of health, happiness and prosperity. Follow the hashtag #TOSBSpeaker on our social channels for updates on the new, exci?ng speakers and themes that we keep adding. Have a splendid 2018! Warm Regards, Kri? Makhija Twi?er: @kri?makhija
