  1. StandWeSpeak A 21st-Century Sexual Wellness Platform WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SEX- POSITIVE?

  2. What is the meaning of sex-positive? According to a research paper published in 2017, ‘Sex positivity is a term used to describe individuals and communities who emphasize openness, nonjudgmental attitudes, freedom, and liberation about sexuality and sexual expression.’ It simply means, having a positive attitude towards sex, one’s sexuality, and being comfortable in your skin. It does not mean that people who are sex-positive have a lot of sex or are ‘horny’ at all times. Neither does it mean that they are up for sex at any time nor that they necessarily have to like sex. It is high time we stop gasping at words like polyamory, abstinence, asexuality, and other sexual practices like BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Sadism, and Masochism). Being sex-positive means being able to have a conversation with your partner without judgment and expectation of weird expressions from them.

  3. How can you practice sex-positivity? Educate yourself about various interests and practices. If you don’t understand, just ask! Keep an open mind and practice acceptance. Talk! Start a dialogue and be honest. Receive and give sex education. Own your choices and first explore yourself. Understand the importance of consent and safe sex. Know that it’s okay to not want to have sex or have more sex So people! Unleash your imagination and put your thoughts to work. Let’s turn inwards, explore ourselves, and accept others. Let’s get kinky and untwist this together.
