About UGC NET University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to fix minimum criteria for recruitment of assistant professors and admission to PhD/Research Programmes. Criteria of Result Declaration This will comprise of following steps: • Step I: Candidate has to obtain minimum marks in each paper mentioned in table below. • Step II: Candidates who obtains above mentioned marks are included for the preparation of final merit list. This list is prepared subject wise. • Step III: Only Top 15% candidates (for each subject and category), out of prepared merit list will be declared NET qualified.
