  1. Dilsukh Nagar www.ticketgoose.com

  2. Dilsukh Nagar is a part of the new area of Hyderabad which happens to be close to the old quarters of the city viz. Charminar, GhansiBazar and Malakpet. • The area is renowned for being both commercial and residential at the same time. Once a part of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad, it was subsequently merged with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). The area is on the banks of the historic Musiriver.

  3. The neighbourhood is in close proximity with the famous and major Kachiguda Railway Station (5 km), Secunderabad Railway Station (13 km) andNampally Railway Station (8 km). • The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (25 km) is also close compared to other areas of the city. The biggest hospital brands exclusive to the city such as Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda (14 km), Care Hospital in Road No. 1 of Banjara Hills (12 km) and the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Panjagutta (14 km) are not far away too.

  4. According to oral narrations, the area was named after a landowner from Malakpet named Dilsukh Ram Pershad who divided his land in terms of plots and built a colony called ‘Dilsukh Nagar’ (Dilsukh’s place).

  5. Once an exclusively residential suburb, the area has been witnessing rapid commercialization since the last decade owing to the growing nature of the city. • That, however, has not diminished its reputation as a good residential locality. Many people still prefer this area for rent. • The major tourist hub of the city – Charminar and its surrounding areas are nearby, just across the Musiriver, at a distance of 7 km.

  6. You can always go shopping there looking for bangles, traditional Muslim attire, other Indian ethnic wear and street food. • Other tourist spots such as HussainSagar Lake in Secunderabad, NTR Gardens, Lumbini Park, QutubShahi Tombs, Golconda Fort may be a little far but they can always be accessed easily as they will not exceed a distance of 14 km.

  7. Eateries in the area provide both Andhra delicacies as well as Hyderabadi cuisines. You can try out the IraniChaiwithOsmania biscuits even in the dead of night in the restaurants ofMehdipatnam (10 km) if the need arises. • Being extremely close to LB Nagar, the chief outskirts suburb of the city where many inter-city buses pick or drop passengers, Dilsukh Nagar too has almost all major bus operators such as GreenlineTravels, Parveentravels,KonduskarTravels,JabbarTravels,KalladaTravels picking up passengers from the area.
