Kachiguda is an old suburban locality of Hyderabad, which is renowned for its major railway station called the Kachiguda Railway Station. • It is located north of the Musi river, beyond which areas of Malakpet and Charminar are located. • The area has been named after a community called Kachi, which still inhabit the surrounding areas.

  3. The area is located at a distance of 29 km from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) and 8 km way from the famous Care Hospital in Banjara Hills.  • The Secunderabad and Nampally Railway stations are located at the distances of 7 km and 5 km respectively. • Kachiguda itself has a bus depot and its railway station runs MMTS (local) trains too. Some of the important landmarks of the area are Masjid Shah Miyan and the Shyam Baba Mandir.

If you are looking to venture into the landmark which has brought Hyderabad city into the global map, the Charminar and its surrounding areas (Lad Bazar, Mecca Masjid, Salar Jung Museum), then this is the area you will find most suitable to take an auto or a bus from. •  Due to its proximity, crowd rush will be a little less and fares will not be exorbitant either.  Charminar is only 5 km away from Kachiguda.

  5. Other tourist spots such as the Golconda Fort and the QutubShahi Tombs (Seven Tombs) are located at the distances of 12 km and 15 km respectively.

The HussainSagar Lake and the adjoining Lumbini Park and NTR Gardens are located at a distance of 7 km. • Eateries are available in plenty in Kachiguda, where anything from Andhra meals to the traditional HyderabadiBiryani are readily available. • Without being an exception to the rest of the city, the area also puts up Ramzan-specific Haleem stores. You can always venture out into Charminar too to try out local delicacies and mithai (sweets).

You will find it relatively easy to come to the area and board a bus as most inter-city and inter-state private buses have pick-up and boarding points close to the railway station. • Among the bus operators which are active in the area are ParveenTravels,VRLTravels,SVRTravels,SRS Travels and Kesineni Travels. However, you should make sure to start a little early to reach the point, especially in the evenings.
