Google's algorithm does the work for you by searching out Web pages that contain the keywords you used to search, then assigning a rank to each page based several factors, including how many times the keywords appear on the page. Higher ranked pages appear further up in Google's search engine results page (SERP), meaning that the best links relating to your search query are theoretically the first ones Google lists

Google Algorithm • Google's algorithm does the work for you by searching out Web pages that contain the keywords you used to search, then assigning a rank to each page based several factors, including how many times the keywords appear on the page. Higher ranked pages appear further up in Google's search engine results page (SERP), meaning that the best links relating to your search query are theoretically the first ones Google lists. • From time to time Google algorithm works in order to provide better search results and relevant content for internet users. • Google algorithm prevents cheating on the website.

Google Panda • Google Panda is a change toGoogle’s search results ranking algorithm that was first released in February 2011 • This algorithm is used to reduce rankings for low -quality sites which are low - value add for users ,copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful At the same time • It will provide better rankings for High quality sites, sites with original content and information .

Google Penguin • Google launched the Penguin Update in April 2012 to better catch sites deemed to be spamming its search results • Penguin Algorithm It is commonly known that the more links back to your website the better SEARCH ENGINE RANKING you will have • The problem is getting links back to your website is not an easy thing to do. When things are difficult, people cheat. Penguin is designed to penalize those who cheat buy purchasing links from ‘link farms’ or ‘link exchanges’ back to their website.

Hummingbird is paying more attention to each word in a query, ensuring that the whole query or the whole sentence or conversation or meaning is taken into account, rather than particular words. • The goal is that pages matching the meaning do better, rather than pages matching just a few words

Google Pigeon • This algorithm ties deeper into their web search capabilities, including the hundreds of ranking signals they use in web search along with search features such as Knowledge Graph, spelling correction, synonyms and more. • This algorithm improves their distance and location ranking parameters.   8. 5. Google Mobile-Friendly Update • On April 21, 2015, Google released a significant new mobile-friendly ranking algorithm • This Algorithm is designed to give a boost to mobile-friendly pages in Google’s mobile search results. • Google may pick desktop over AMP page for the mobile-first index

  9. 6. Google Payday Loan Algorithm Introduced on June 11, 2013, Google Payday Update was a new Google search algorithm focused at cleaning up list items related to “spammy queries” such as payday loans or pornographic or some other kinds of heavily spammed queries

Google’s Pirate • Introduced in August 2012 • Google’s Pirate Update is a filter that prevents sites that have many copyright infringement reports. • It is periodically updated and at the point when updates happen, websites beforehand affected may get away, if they have made the correct changes • Getting A Page Removed From The Index Requires Valid Documentation

Google’s EMD • The EMD Update for “Exact Match Domain” — is a filter Google launched in September 2012 to prevent poor quality sites from ranking. • New sites with poor content — or those previously missed by EMD — may get caught. • According to Matt Cutts, “EMD is set to reduce low-quality ‘exact-match’ domains in search Results.”

Google’s Top Heavy Algorithm • Top Heavy was launched in January 2012 by Google as a means to prevent sites that were “top heavy” with ads from ranking well in its listings. • Top Heavy is periodically updated. When a fresh Top Heavy Update happens, sites that have removed excessive ads may regain lost rankings. • New sites deemed too “top heavy” may get caught.

  13. 10. Google’s Pagerank Algorithm • PageRank is an algorithm used by Google Search to rank websites in their search engine results • PageRank works by counting the number and quality of links to a page to determine a rough estimate of how important the website is
