  1. Sustainable Innovations: A Pioneering Path Towards a Greener Future at Daily Harvest by Rachel Drori Sustainable innovations today are of utmost importance in the overall health and safety of the people and the planet. For biodiversity conservation, ecosystem preservation, and natural resources that are finitely available, the supply, use, and consumption in the food industry must be preserved with suitable and sustainable actions. To make better and mindful decisions concerning food and its consumption, people must be aware of sustainable practices such as - Reduction in food wastage, Preservation of food, Sustainable farming and agricultural practices, Education, and Awareness. Food Industries are encouraged to follow sustainable strategies and actions of change that drive people to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, carbon footprint reduction, reduce wastage and spoilage of food, reduce pollution levels in the air, water, and soil, and increase quality levels in the same. Healthy meals that are grown and cooked from healthy soil to give high-quality ingredients and food products in turn ensure that the regular consumption of the same will maintain a good and fit body and immune system. When retail businesses in the food industry adopt sustainability and green initiatives, it forms a strong trust between the consumers and the brand. The farmers who put in their efforts, skills, and talent are also appreciated and recognized for their contributions and continue to educate themselves and to be conscious of eco-friendly practices. Therefore being fully aware of the ingredients that we consume, the quality of it, the soil it's grown in, the environment, and the care that‟s been given, and more are some of the thoughts and questions that run through a consumer‟s and buyer‟s mind. Certainly, anyone and everyone will always want to consume healthy food in their homes for quality and healthy living, and hence moving towards sustainability will be a win-win for food and retail businesses. Therefore in this article, we will be covering the fascinating entrepreneurial initiative in Eco- conscious solutions and the journey of one such D2C frozen food retail business - Daily Harvest, along with its Founder and CEO - Rachel Drori. What people consume and knowing how the food that they eat is grown, matters and are essential pieces of information. Rachel Drori - CEO AND Founder of Daily Harvest: The Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Daily Harvest - Rachel Drori, is an Entrepreneur recognized as #80 in “America‟s Self-Made Women” in the year 2022. 2. “Eating fruits and vegetables should not be hard, but it is the hardest thing, We are re- imagining what a packaged food company can look like.” - Rachel Drori, Founder and CEO of Daily Harvest. The company and business are established in New York Metropolitan City, USA. Rachel was inspired to start this D2C (Direct-to-Customer) frozen food retailing business through a sudden revelation. Rachel says - “A few years back, I regularly found myself grabbing a handful of whatever snack I could find and calling it lunch. I didn‟t have the time to cook for myself. I was sacrificing „nourishing‟ food for „convenient‟ food.” Like Rachel, we find ourselves snacking on unhealthy food at ungodly times during the day and night to feed our hunger pangs. We know that we need to eat healthy and mindfully, but due to certain situations, circumstances, and distractions, we opt for the easy way out and for whatever looks visually appealing to our eyes and stomachs. Mission - “To make it really easy to eat more sustainably grown, organic fruits+vegetables every day……From seed to plate, we’re committed to a better food system, one that prioritizes human and planetary health.” Recognizing this huge problem and being motivated to respond to this challenging roadblock in one way or another, Rachel started making SMOOTHIES from a commercial kitchen in Queens that was leased to her. Her business and orders quickly and rapidly started raking in profits and after two months Daily Harvest was officially brought into play. Contributing her 25,000 dollars in savings towards her business, Rachel never gave up and kept going. Daily Harvest soon got investors investing in Rachel Drori‟s DTC business and became more popular. Some investors were celebrities such as - Chef Bobby Flay and Actress Gwyneth Paltrow. No Gluten and No Dairy - Daily Harvest freezes its ingredients within 24 hours after harvesting the food products. With this strategy, food that is frozen makes it easier to stock and eat within minutes. Leaning towards a green future, Daily Harvest is a people+planet

The business also adopts a sustainable packaging strategy to reduce waste production. Transitioning to organically growing produce ensures the health and quality of soil are at a premium. On sustainability efforts and initiatives, Rachel says - “Everything we make is built on sustainably sourced fruits and vegetables and crafted into delicious food that is actually good for you. We are frozen for a reason - because our method means more nutrients, better flavor, and food that keeps up with the pace of your life……..our food is meant to be stocked at home and ready in minutes.”
