  2. Sham Kaushal, VickyKaushal father is a well-known action director who is famed to have invented action scenes that have never been tried earlier. He feels that action has never gained prominence and dignity as it has presently when his action scenes seem to look realistic than ever because the stuntmen and action directors all risk their lives to take the action scenes to a higher level. Each action scene could take hours to shoot and it is definitely a tiresome job. He says they are now being appreciated for their work and are well-paid.

  3. Speaking about his journey in the film industry Sham Kaushal, Vicky Kaushalfather says that he was never scared of working hard. He remembers how he used to cycle several kilometers just to complete his Masters. His father borrowed Rs3,500 @ 5% interest back in 80’s to send Sham to Mumbai to pursue his first job as a salesman for a valve manufacturer. He was determined not to return back to his village till he had to money to pay off his father’s debt.

  4. Sham Kaushal, Vicky Kaushal father used to share his room in Mumbai with Punjabi stuntmen. His roommates advised him to pursue this profession because Sham now wanted to earn more than what he was getting from his menial job. These boys helped Sham to get the role of a stuntman in one of Yash Chopra’s movie ‘Sawaal’. The famous action director also remembers requesting VeeruDevgan to sign his form so he could join the association.

  5. The first role that Sham Kaushal, Vicky Kaushal father got was back in 1980, where he played the role of a police constable. He gave his best shot at Raj Kamal Studios because he knew if he did well, he would land in more roles. Luck was on his side and he did get several more movies in which he performed as a stuntman. He finally got his break as an action director 1991 in a Malayam movie ‘Indrajalam’ and his first break in the Bollywood industry as an action director was in the movie was in 1991 in Nana Patekar’s movie ‘Prahaar: The Final Attack’.

With years Sham Kaushal, Vicky Kaushal father gained his reputation as an action director and today he is amongst the well-known faces in Bollywood with several awards and recognitions for his work in the film industry. He understands that the world of glitz and glamour is tough, but talent never goes unnoticed. He says that he always advised both his sons to meet people and audition everyday if they want to get noticed because the competition is tough in the film industry. Sham Kaushal is a self-made man and today he shines bright all because of his hard work. He didn’t take any short-cuts to life, instead worked hard to get where he is now. Sham Kaushal is an amazing director who is loaded with opportunities in several upcoming movies.
