  1. HOW TO STOP BREAKAGE ON YOUR 4C NATURAL HAIR If you want healthy natural hair, & you would love it to be a certain length. Most of us know this isn't an easy task. 4C Natural Hair strands are fine and have tight coils; there are more points of weakness. WHY DOES NATURAL HAIR BREAKAGE HAPPEN? An avg. A person is likely to lose 50 - 100 strands every day; however, when excessive hair shedding enters the mix, this no. can get significantly bigger. •Weak hair strands: 4C Curly Hair is naturally fragile due to its tight, coily shape, which causes it to break and shed easily. •Too much tension: If you love combing & twisting your hair, you may be contributing to breakage. •Heat exposure: Heat styling dries out your hair strands & weakens them. Chemical treatments: Hair relaxers, keratin treatments, & bleach can also be the culprit for breakage. The hair has no such definition, unlike Long 4A Hair & 4B Hair.

  2. TRY THESE WAYS TO STOP NATURAL HAIR BREAKAGE AND ENCOURAGE HAIR GROWTH: 1. STOP DRYING YOUR #4CNATURALHAIR WITH A TOWEL:

  3. Yes, you heard us correctly. We know it is tempting, but stop doing it! When natural hair is wet, it is at its most difficult state. Rubbing your hair with a cotton towel may be catastrophic, as the harsh fibers snag and pull on your hair. 2. STOP USING HEAT ON YOUR #4CHAIRTYPE: Well, the people in the back, stop heat on your 4c natural hair. Because heat is the root cause of natural hair damage. Direct heat using curling irons, blow dryers, flat irons strips your natural hair of moisture from its deepest layers causes split ends & cuticle damage, which ultimately leads to breakage of your natural hair. 3. USE YOUR FINGERS TO DETANGLE YOUR 4C NATURAL HAIR: At a point in your natural hair journey, you undoubtedly know that finger detangling can be a pretty task. Using your fingers to take knots out will be less stress on your hair shaft & thus less breakage. Related Article: Hair Care For 4C Natural Hair

  4. 4. USE THE RIGHT DETANGLING TOOLS: If you truly do not have the time to finger a detangle, take a good look at the detangling tools you're using. Using a wide-tooth detangling comb is best—and be sure that you don't detangle your natural hair while it's wet! 5. DO NOT WASH YOUR HAIR WITH SHAMPOO REGULARLY: The shampoo is an archenemy for natural hair. Yes, shampoo cleans your hair, but it may have the superpower to strip your Curly Pattern Natural Hair from its vital nutrients, leaving it dry & brittle. For those with oily hair, sulphates may be a blessing as they lather well, giving the hair that is squeaky clean feel.

  5. 6. USE A DEEP CONDITIONER VERY REGULARLY: Along with a mild, hydrating shampoo, 4c curly hair should be conditioned and deeply conditioned to achieve maximum moisture retention; when you deep condition natural hair, the ingredients penetrate the hair shaft more deeply, conditioning from the inside out. Try regularly deep conditioning your hair & watch your hair grow faster and healthier!
