  1. 5 Tips for Applying Nail Polish There is no single formula for nail polish. There are, however, a number of ingredient types that are used. These basic components include: film forming agents, resins and plasticizers, solvents, and coloring agents. The exact formulation of a nail polish, apart from being a corporate secret, greatly depends upon choices made by chemists and chemical engineers in the research and development phase of manufacturing. Additionally, as chemicals and other ingredients become accepted or discredited for some uses, adjustments are made. For example, formaldehyde was once frequently used in polish production, but now it is rarely used. The primary ingredient in nail polish is nitrocellulose (cellulose nitrate) cotton, a flammable and explosive ingredient also used in making dynamite. Nitrocellulose is a liquid mixed with tiny, near-microscopic cotton fibers. In the manufacturing process, the cotton fibers are ground even smaller and do not need to be removed. The nitrocellulose can be purchased in various viscosities to match the desired viscosity of the final product. There are steps for applying Nail Polish 1. Avoid Harsh Chemicals Before applying new polish to your fingernails, you’ll want to remove the old one. Instead of using a harsh acetone solution, look for non-acetone nail polish removers. This will keep your nails healthy and shiny. To remove polish without causing damage, be sure to rub polish away with a cotton pad that won’t scratch the surface of the nail.

  2. 2. Use Press-Ones While acrylic nails can be damaging, acetate press-ons don’t cause any harm to your nails. If you have a damaged nail, just apply a quick press-on to cover up the damage and prevent nail polish from seeping under the crack in the nail, which can cause irritation. 3. Always Use a Base Coat To keep your nails from turning an unhealthy yellow shade, apply a base coast before your colored nail polish. Start at the white half-moon above the cuticle and apply in an upward motion. Let the base coat dry for 4 to 5 minutes before attempting to apply colour. 4. Apply Two Coats of Polish For a professional, salon-quality finish, be sure to apply two coats of polish, Remember to allow each coat to dry before applying the next one. This will help you avoid messing up your manicure. 5. Let Your Nails Dry While sitting around doing nothing can be boring, it’s also the only way to make sure you don’t smudge your polish after applying it. Plus, it might be a good excuse to get some much needed down time. For More Details:Cheap Nail Varnish
