Pledge-67 Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s example, the call is simple: take action and inspire change, in a way that acknowledges his 67-year struggle for social and economic justice in our country. UNICEF South Africa is keeping that flame alive by continually striving to reimagine a better tomorrow and a better future for every child.

One Nation ‘There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.’ [Nelson Mandela] 2020 has seen the world change drastically, and yet our collective responsibility, as one humanity, has not changed. UNICEF South Africa salutes Madiba in his fight for  democracy and freedom. But the fight continues, and Mandela Month becomes a momentary pause to redefine our way forward and our work, as one nation and one people, to bring about a better tomorrow, a better future and a better South Africa for all. Our nation has been put to the test, and #Pledge-67 offers a small way to give back.

One Love ‘Our children are our future and one of the basic responsibilities is to care for them in the best and most compassionate manner possible.’ [Nelson Mandela] Mandela Month is a wonderful opportunity to show our love for our country and its people. The cumulative action of a compassionate community has the power to transform lives and society as a whole. All it takes is love...and  R67/month? Our nation has been put to the test, and #Pledge-67 offers a small way to give back.
